There may be drama in Brad Pitt's life behind-the-scenes, but he was nothing but smiles when he stepped on set of his latest project.
Pitt was seen smiling ear-to-ear on set of his new film, Babylon, on Wednesday, September 29, days after estranged wife Angelina Jolie was spotted with her rumored new flame, The Weeknd.
While the handsome hunk, 57, is busy working away on the Damien Chazelle directed project, Jolie continues to spark dating rumors with the "Blinding Lights" singer following their most recent supposed date night.
As OK! reported, the unlikely pair dined together at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Saturday, September 25, and spent more than two hours in their own private section. Speculation surrounding their romance began swirling in July when they were seen together on a dinner date at the same restaurant.
Despite fans cheering on their possible romance, an insider told E! News of the two: "they aren't dating. He has been enjoying getting to know her and feels they have a formed a close bond."
"The Weeknd and Angelina met through mutual friends in the film and entertainment industry," the second insider explained. "They have a lot in common. They totally hit it off after their first meeting earlier this summer and have kept in touch ever since."
Whether Jolie's new relationship with The Weeknd — real name Abel Tesfaye — be a romantic one or strictly professional, the sight of the 46-year-old with a new man on her arm comes as her nasty custody battle with her Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar continues to play out in court.
The parents of children, Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and 13-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne are currently embroiled in a messy legal battle following their 2016 split. Most recently amid their custody dispute, the mother-of-six admitted she feared for her children's safety during their marriage, as she claimed her estranged husband was “verbally abusive and physical” towards adopted son Maddox.

Pitt was previously granted joint custody of his kids in May, but California appeals disqualified the judge two months later for not disclosing he had business relationships with the actor's attorneys. Despite Jolie's win, the exit of the private judge from their case means their custody battle is far from over.
Nevertheless, it seems Pitt's personal life won't interfere with his work on Babylon.
