All he wants for Christmas is some breathing room!
A source says Miranda Lambert's hubby, Brendan McLoughlin, is feeling henpecked so much so that the former cop is itching to return to his old job.
After tying the knot with Lambert in 2019, McLoughlin, 30, turned in his badge to devote himself to the country superstar, “but he’s gotten tired of being at her beck and call, dishes the OK! source.
In addition to having McLoughlin help out with security, Lambert, 38, recently paraded him around shirtless in her "Tequila Does” remix video.
“It’s like he’s totally under her thumb, so it’s no shock he’s talking about returning to police work,” notes the source.

While the pair’s had growing pains before, “it’s bound to worsen if Miranda doesn’t start giving her hubby some independence,” adds the source. “He’s missing the guy camaraderie on the force.”
As OK! exclusively reported in April, the country crooner had no problem constantly having her man by her side. "He's got good looks and a big personality," a source close to Lambert pointed out of McLoughlin.
"Miranda believes being a two-career couple will strengthen their marriage and put them on equal footing," the source added. "Brendan's willing to put in the work, and Miranda's determined to use her clout to make him a star."
And while Lambert's second husband may be needing some space from Hollywood life and his partner, the same can't be said for the songstress' first husband, Blake Shelton, and his wife, Gwen Stefani. OK! previously learned the newlyweds — who tied the knot in July — have been mulling over the idea of touring together to keep their family close.
“By touring together, their work schedules would be aligned,” an insider previously spilled. “They want to be a team both off stage and on.”
Lambert and Shelton tied the knot in 2011 and announced their divorce in July 2015. The blonde babe went on to marry McLoughlin four years later, just three months after she first met him while he was on duty on the set of Good Morning America.
