Prenup Problems? Britney Spears & Fiancé Sam Asghari Hashing Out Money Woes Before Wedding, Spills Source

While the saying goes: "First comes love, then comes marriage," it seems a prenup plan has been all but forgotten about.

Pregnant Britney Spears, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Sam Asghari, is eager to get married ASAP, but the couple hashing out their prenuptial agreement is apparently causing quite the holdup.

"The talks have been taking longer than usual," confided an insider to the print issue of Us Weekly. "Sam wants substantial increases for every fives years they are married, should it end."

Another source noted that while the process is being dragged out, the discussions are "respectable" in terms of making sure both Spears' fortune and Asghari himself are protected so the handsome hunk, 28, "doesn't end up penniless if they separate."

Despite not having control of her estimated $60 million estate while in her near-14-year-long conservatorship, the source told the publication that the princess of pop, 40, has no interest in knowing any of the financial details, as she's only concentrated on planning their big day.

"Britney's staying out of the entire process," the source concluded to the outlet. "She's just letting her lawyers hash it out with Sam's team."

Though further details of their upcoming nuptials have remained under lock and key, OK! learned the "Toxic" singer — who already shares two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline — will be walking to the altar in a wedding gown designed by none other than Donatella Versace, who Spears lined up "months ago."

And with all of these major changes happening in Spears' life following the November 2021 termination of her conservatorship, the blonde babe revealed she's going on a "social media hiatus for a little while," which is something that most likely shocked her fans given her excessive Instagram posts showing off her recently-freed life or bashing her estranged family.

Spears first hinted she may be stepping back from social engagements when she announced last month that she was expecting her third child. "I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money 💴 shot of me 📸 like they unfortunately already have …" part of her post read.
