Britney Spears has been celebrating her first birthday post conservatorship by getting cozy with her fiancé Sam Asghari.
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the pop star was photographed soaking up the sun in Cabo San Lucas with the actor, 27, on Wednesday, December 1, while continuing to ring in her 40th birthday.
The soon-to-be husband and wife appeared to be in the honeymoon phase as they were snapped getting close under a towel in side-by-side lounge chairs. The duo — who announced their engagement in September — was also spotted spending time together on a boat.
Spears has lots to celebrate this year, as this is her first birthday since being freed from her 13-year-long conservatorship — that the "Circus" singer claimed to be "abusive" under her father Jamie Spears' control — back in November.
As OK! previously reported, since the termination of the conservatorship, the mother-of-two "feels like she has purpose" and intends to "celebrate that to the fullest." A source spilled, "It's the first birthday where Britney doesn't feel like she's just withering away."

"This year, they're happy to celebrate Britney getting older because she's finally growing into her true self," the insider explained. "She finally feels like she has purpose and Britney wants to celebrate that to the fullest."
As for Asghari, a source revealed that he is "going all out on gifts for Britney," and "wants to completely live it up and not be low-key about it."
"The past decade has been hell for her and she has gone through so much," an insider told HollywoodLife. "Sam is a godsend for Britney and everyone who loves her loves him, including her sons."
After the never ending court drama, the insider told the outlet, "Britney deserves this vacation more than anyone, and she is going to share it with her fans for sure." The insider continued, "She has not been allowed to leave the United States since the conservatorship started and cannot wait to experience something totally different as she turns 40."
