Britney Spears Loses Her Baby In Tragic Early Miscarriage

Britney Spears is no longer pregnant.
Spears took to social media with the sad news she suffered an early miscarriage a month after announcing she was expecting a baby with her soon-to-be husband, Sam Asghari.

"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent," the pop star, 40, wrote in a heartfelt Instagram message on Saturday, May 14. "Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news."
"We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family," the post continued. "We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
In the caption, the "I'm A Slave 4 U" singer repeated how grateful she was to her fans for their love in this heartbreaking time as they continue their private journey in expanding their family.

As OK! previously reported, Spears announced she was expecting her third child back in April in a lengthy, emoji-filled Instagram message.
"I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???'" she wrote. "My husband said 'No you’re food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!' So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈 It’s growing !!!"
Hours later, Asghari, 28, confirmed the news with a post of his own.
"Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect," he captioned a snapshot of a pair of lions with their cubs. "Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do."
Despite the sad news, the Grammy Winner is still hopeful that she will one day have children with Asghari. She currently shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
