Cardi B Scores Big Win In Court: Rapper Is Awarded $1.2 Million In Suit Against Blogger Tasha K Over Drug Accusations
Cardi B is taking home a major win!
According to court documents obtained by Radar, a jury in Georgia found blogger Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress against the "Wap" rapper, 29, after she alleged Cardi had previously been an escort, claimed she had contracted Herpes and said her sources told her Cardi was into hard drugs.
The court awarded the songwriter $1 million in general damages and $250k for medical expenses for a total of $1.25 million.
After the verdict was read, Tasha tweeted: "My Husband, Attorney’s, & I fought really hard. I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it’s only up from here. See y’all in a few days. Back to work."
The YouTuber made the false allegations in 2019 via several videos, which Cardi reportedly claimed caused her extreme emotional distress.

After the New York native submitted medical records to the court, the judge ruled that Cardi did not have Herpes despite the internet personality's claim. Tasha later attempted to sue the chart topper once again, alleging she was threatened by Cardi's fans — but the judge quickly dismissed the motion.
Upon taking the stand, the mother-of-two claimed the false allegations against her left her "extremely suicidal" and led to weight loss and anxiety. “Only an evil person could do that s**t,” the former American Music Awards host stated, adding that the ordeal took a toll on her marriage to husband Offset — leading them to seek counseling.
Cardi also alleged people came after her online, with trolls commenting on photos of her with her daughter, Kulture, 3, asking if she should be having contact with her kid if she had Herpes.
