Ex 'Bachelor' Host Chris Harrison Shades Show's Preferred Jeweler Neil Lane As He Proposed To Fiancée Lauren Zima With A McClave Jewelers Ring
Chris Harrison made a strong choice when it came to picking out fiancée Lauren Zima's engagement ring.
On Monday, October 25, the former host of The Bachelor franchise,50, announced that he had asked the entertainment reporter, 33, to marry him while on a romantic trip to Napa Valley.
But when Harrison —who was booted from the hit reality show in June — got down on one knee, it was not with a Neil Lane (the preferred jeweler of the hit ABC dating show) sparkler.
According to an Instagram comment re-shared by the fan account @bachelornation.scoop — the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire star made it clear that there was only one choice in his mind for who should design the rock he would present Zima with.
"As soon as I knew I was going to propose to @laurenzima I knew there was only one man to call to help me choose the perfect diamond and personally design the ring and that's my friend Charles 'Nip' McClave," Harrison commented to a fan. "Nip as I said in my message it was a home run."

The television personality continued to throw shade at the Bachelor loyal jeweler as he concluded, "You're the best and so is McClave Jewelers. Thank you for helping make this moment everything we dreamed it would be."
Upon announcing his engagement, Harrison — who was previously married to ex-wife Gwen Harrison — penned a short but sweet message to Zima on Instagram. “I love you @laurenzima The next chapter starts now!," the star wrote.
The Chicago native posted a loving snap of her own alongside the caption, “We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn’t know love could be like this." Zima continued to gush, “You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, championing me and asking me to marry you. Here’s to the next amazing chapter, and all the rest 💍."
Back in September, OK! exclusively reported that the couple — who began dating in 2018 — were thinking about getting engaged with an insider saying that Harrison was "ready" to pop the question.
