Chris Hughes discussed how he and girlfriend JoJo Siwa successfully navigate their long-distance relationship. The couple met in April 2025 while participating in the U.K.'s Celebrity Big Brother and celebrated their one-year anniversary on May 27.
Chris Hughes said his long-distance relationship with JoJo Siwa is manageable.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Hughes, 33, acknowledges the complexities of maintaining a relationship with Siwa, 23, who resides in the U.S.
He described their situation as “tricky,” especially after a prolonged separation.
Hughes visited Siwa for her 23rd birthday on May 19, which marked the longest time they had been apart since their relationship began.
Chris Hughes revealed that visiting JoJo Siwa for her 23rd birthday ended the longest period the couple had spent apart since beginning their relationship.
“It is tricky, but it’s not as tricky as people think,” Hughes explained.
He emphasized that they manage to see each other regularly, either through visits to the U.K. or trips to the U.S.
“Before the last couple of months, we’d see each other every month,” he added.
Chris Hughes said he enjoys spending time with JoJo Siwa's family in America and appreciates experiencing a culture that is different from his own.

Hughes enjoys traveling to America and cherishes his time with Siwa and her family.
“I kind of embrace it in the respect that I love going over to America,” he stated.
He appreciates the differences between their cultures, which adds a unique dimension to their relationship.
Despite the distance, Hughes admits that they miss each other when apart.
“Obviously, yes, you miss each other. That’s very normal,” he shared, indicating that the emotional challenges are manageable.
JoJo Siwa admitted that maintaining a long-distance romance is more challenging than long-distance friendships or family relationships.
Siwa, known for her vibrant personality, also shared her thoughts on their long-distance romance in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“Long-distance friendships are a beast. Long-distance family is a beast. A long-distance relationship, I think, is the beast of all beasts,” she said.
However, she believes their love is worth the effort.
“The biggest challenge for me: we have an eight-hour time difference,” she explained.
“I’m just in my day, active and busy,” she noted.
