Chris Rock Reveals He Tested Positive For COVID-19, Urges Fans To Get Vaccinated
Chris Rock has revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
The 56-year-old shared the news with fans on Twitter on Sunday, September 19. "Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated," he tweeted.
The Everybody Hates Chris alum did not give any further details on his condition.
Fans and famous friends sent Rock well wishes.
"Get well…" LeVar Burton replied to Rock with a heart emoji.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery Chris Rock... thank you for advocating getting vaccinated," one fan wrote.
"I’m a cancer patient I get my third shot tomorrow. It just boggles the mind why people won’t take a simple precautions. Yes you can still get the virus however you’re more likely too live with the vaccine," a second fan told Rock.

"Damn, get well soon," another tweeted.
In May, the comedian said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he was vaccinated. He said he got the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. "That's the food stamps of vaccines," he joked at the time.
"You know, I skipped the line," he said. "I didn’t care. I used my celebrity, Jimmy. I was like, 'Step aside, Betty White. Step aside, old people … I did 'Pootie Tang.' Let me on the front of the line.'"
In January, Rock spoke to Gayle King about his support for the COVID-19 vaccines. "I'm gonna put it this way — Do I take Tylenol when I get a headache? Yes. Do I know what's in Tylenol? I don't know what's in Tylenol, Gayle. I just know my headache's gone. Do I know what's in a Big Mac, Gayle? No. I just know it's delicious," he said.
Earlier this month, Wendy Williams also tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19, while battling other health issues. Insiders told TMZ that that talk show host is asymptomatic.
