Chrissy Teigen Marks 50 Days Of Sobriety, Says It's Her 'Longest Streak Yet'
A milestone! Chrissy Teigen is celebrating 50 days sober.
The 35-year-old shared the news on Saturday, September 4, by posting a clip on Instagram of her children, Luna and Miles, interrupting her workout. "it should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road. this is my longest streak yet!" the model wrote in the caption.
"I still dunno if I’ll never drink again but I do know it no longer serves me in ANY way. I don’t get more fun, I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night," the cookbook author explained.
"I had my fun with it and appreciate anyone that can enjoy it responsibly!!!! this is also my third day this week working out which is unheard of for me, and my bears are notttt making it easy," she added.
Fans and friends celebrated the achievement in the comments.
"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," husband John Legend commented.

"So proud of you! Honestly I don’t really drink much anymore. It doesn’t make me feel as focused, and love the way I feel sober. Proud of you girl ❤️❤️," Christine Quinn wrote.
"Amazing 💜 everyones’ path is different and no shame should ever be felt if your sobriety journey isn’t the same as others. Wishing you all the happiness in the world ✨," one fan noted.
Teigen has been candid about her sobriety journey after she and Legend lost their third child, Jack, in September 2020 due to pregnancy complications. She revealed in December that she was four weeks sober.
That same month, she explained on her Instagram Story that Holly Whitaker’s book Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol was one of the reasons she decided to get sober.
"I was done with making an ass of myself in front of people (I’m still embarrassed), tired of day drinking and feeling like s**t by 6, not being able to sleep," she explained at the time. "I have been sober ever since and even if you can’t see yourself doing it or just plain don’t want to, it is still an incredible read."
Teigen was embroiled in a scandal in June when old tweets she allegedly directed at Courtney Stodden resurfaced. Since then, Teigen has reportedly lost a deal with Bloomingdales and had her cookware line pulled out of Target. Gigi Hadid also replaced her in Never Have I Ever.
The Snack Off alum issued an apology and said she was "an insecure, attention-seeking troll."
According to an OK! insider, she is trying to win back her famous friends and is "lavishing them with gifts and laying on the compliments." Teigen "found that her superficial apologies weren’t getting her anywhere. So, she’s changed tactics and become the nicest, most generous person ever," the source said.
