Chrissy Teigen's Last Two Weeks Were 'Hellish' — Mean Tweets About Courtney Stodden, Lindsay Lohan Continue To Haunt Her
If only Chrissy Teigen had kept some thoughts to herself! An OK! source reveals that ever since the star's vicious 2011 tweets about Courtney Stodden and Lindsay Lohan resurfaced in early May, Teigen, 35, has been reeling from the fallout — and so has her brand.
"The last two weeks have been hellish," says the source. "She's not holding up well. She thought it would blow over by now, but it's still a hot topic."
After Celebrity Big Brother alum Stodden, 26, (who uses they/them pronouns) exposed Teigen for brutally tweeting at them to take a "dirt nap" while they were still a teen, a similarly vicious tweet about Lohan — who's admitted to cutting herself — was excavated: "Lindsay adds a few more slits to her wrists when she sees Emma Stone," it read.
Within days, Teigen's Cravings cookware line was pulled from Macy's and she lost a lucrative contract with Bloomingdale's.
Now, the source claims her high-profile deal with vacation rental site VRBO — which she promotes alongside hubby John Legend — "could be in jeopardy. She's realizing how much trouble she's gotten into, and worse, it's affecting John."
While Teigen's been staying off social media and laying low since the tweets emerged, that hasn't kept her out of the spotlight.

SNL's Pete Davidson, 27, took an on-air swipe at the former model on May 22, joking that he's "relieved" she's "out of our lives."
Now, "she's become the butt of jokes among her peers, and it's humiliating," spills the source. "She feels like everyone's turning on her, and people she thought were her friends are keeping their distance."
While Teigen may bounce back, the source adds it's going to be an uphill climb before Hollywood forgives: "The general feeling is her career and reputation will take more hits before things get better."
Teigen, who issued a public apology to Stodden, "never imagined these old tweets would spring up again," says a source. "She's a different person now."
