Coroner Confirms That Gabby Petito Was Not Pregnant When She Was Killed By Strangulation
It has been confirmed that Gabby Petito was not expecting a child when she was murdered this summer.
Teton County Coroner Brent Blue was asked during the Tuesday, October 12, press conference if Petito was pregnant at the time of her death. Blue responded by taking a moment and then saying a short, "No."
During the live question and answer session with the coroner and the media, it was revealed that the autopsy showed that the 22-year-old died from strangulation.
As OK! previously reported, autopsy results were released to the public that gave better insight into the manner in which Petito lost her life.
Blue explained that officials believe that the influencer died in late August, three to four weeks before her body was found on September 19, in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. There will not be an exact date of death listed on her death certificate.

The manner of death was ultimately ruled a homicide by strangulation. According to CNN, Blue stated during the press conference, "Unfortunately, this is just one of many deaths around the country of people who are involved in domestic violence. It's unfortunate that these other deaths do not get as much coverage as this one. I'm assuming that because the deceased was a blogger that this received more coverage than others, but there are a lot of both men and women who have lost their lives that aren't covered with this kind of media attention."
As the search for Petito's fugitive boyfriend Brian Laundrie — who she was last seen with — continues, friends are speaking out about the 23-year-old and the kind of person that he is.
As OK! previously reported, a longtime pal told The Sun that Laundrie mostly "kept to himself" and was a "pretty disconnected off the grid type of guy, not the ‘selfie’ type.”
“Brian was very quiet in school. He was a bit of an outcast when he was younger. He was just so to himself,” the friend went on to say.
