Ella Travolta Encourages Dad John Travolta To ‘Start Living Life In Full Again’ Following Kelly Preston’s Death, Claims Insider
John Travolta is still mourning the loss of his beloved wife, Kelly Preston, to breast cancer a year ago, but a friend tells OK! he may finally be ready to move on — thanks to their daughter, Ella.
The Pulp Fiction star, 67, who’s put the family’s estates in Florida and Maine on the market, is now contemplating moving to celeb-friendly Calabasas, Calif.
Ella and her dad enjoyed a rare L.A outing last September, joining Tommy Lee and his wife Brittany Furlan, at Nobu Malibu.
“It’s all because of Ella,” shares the pal, who says the aspiring actress, 21, is encouraging her reclusive dad to relocate full-time to the Mediterranean-style villa he and Preston bought there shortly before her death last July.
“John spent a lot of time during the pandemic just rattling around his Florida compound, and Ella wants him to be closer to his Hollywood buddies,” explains the pal.

“She’s urging him to get out of his shell and socialize.” While she’d love to see John — who’s also dad to Ben, 10 — find love again, “what Ella wants most is for him not to be alone with his pain anymore,” adds the pal. “She wants him to start living life in full again.”
OK! previously reported that Travolta and his wife got married in 1991, after meeting while filming The Experts.
It's been just one year since Preston passed, and moving to California might be a good way to help Travolta come 'out of his shell' and begin to 'socialize' more.
As of May, a source said that while "John's had no shortage of friends wanting to set him up and there are a lot of women who would love to go out with him," he was never interested.
Maybe now, through Ella's encouragement, he will be able to put himself out there and at the very least, make a few new friends.
