Gigi Hadid Says Bradley Cooper Romance Feels 'Different' Due to Deep Honesty and Two-Person Journey in Rare Interview

Gigi Hadid opened up about her romance with Bradley Cooper in a rare interview.

Talking to Vogue France, when asked about her opinion on what she thinks makes a "beautiful couple," Hadid said, "What is beautiful about my current relationship, and so different from what I have experienced, is an ability to be deeply honest."

"To say what you think, when you think it," she added.

The model also got candid about her relationship dynamic with Cooper with respect to their respective careers.

She said, "We don't necessarily understand all the challenges of each other's job, but the main thing is to have someone who supports you – and helps you keep your feet on the ground."

When pointed out that it's not always easy to be deeply honest in a relationship, the TV personality admitted, saying, "I know. But if that's impossible, it probably means he's not the right person."

She also said a beautiful relationship is essentially "a trip for two" and not just "a job together."

Hadid, 31, and Cooper, 51, first sparked dating rumors in October 2023, when they were spotted out on a dinner in New York City.

At the time, a source told Us Weekly that, despite their 20-year age gap, the two “have a lot in common. They’re both single parents to a young daughter, and they share a similar sense of humor.”

While Hadid is the mother of her daughter Khai, 6, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, Cooper coparents daughter Lea De Seine, 9, with ex Irina Shayk.

Hadid and Malik called it quits in 2021, while Cooper and Shayk split up in 2019.

The fashion model made the romance Instagram official in May 2025 while celebrating her 30th birthday. In her birthday post, she shared a carousel of photos, one of which showed her kissing Cooper while cradling his face.

Earlier this year, Hadid and Cooper took the internet by storm when they were spotted wearing matching rings on their left hands, sparking marriage rumors.

Per a source's claim to Us Weekly, those bands are actually "promise rings."

“They have had the rings for a few months now,” the insider explained. “Neither of them wants to get married or have a traditional wedding, but they are very serious and committed to one another.”

The source continued, “They are inseparable when they aren’t working. Their lives are fully integrated at this point, and their daughters get along well and have playdates. They’ve essentially become one happy little family in their own way.”
