Gypsy Rose Blanchard's daughter is currently 19 months old.

"For so much of my life, the word 'Mommy' carried a meaning that was complicated and painful for me. I knew motherhood would give that word a new meaning, but I don’t think I was prepared for what it would feel like to actually hear my daughter call me 'Mommy' 🥹," Blanchard heartwarmingly penned in the caption.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016.

Blanchard was arrested and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

In 2015, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star secretly planned with her online boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her mom. Nicholas stabbed the 48-year-old to death while Gypsy waited in the bathroom of her Springfield, Miss., home.

While Gypsy received a 10-year prison sentence, she was released on parole in December 2023 after serving eight years.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard served eight years in prison.

Dee Dee reportedly claimed Gypsy had many illnesses and disabilities that she didn't actually suffer from.

During her case, it was revealed that Gypsy was the victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a psychological disorder where a caretaker seeks attention and medical help for exaggerated symptoms of a child.

“I was desperate to get out of that situation,” Gypsy told People in 2024 about her home life.

She added that Dee Dee struggled with untreated mental illness, saying: "In hindsight I really wish someone could have seen the signs and helped [my mom]. Helping her would have helped me.”
