Harry Styles Gushes Over His 'Really Happy' Life After 'As It Was' Release

Living his best life! Harry Styles is basking in the excitement of his upcoming album after just dropping the first lead single.

On Friday, April 1, the 28-year-old singer released his newest track, "As It Was," as the first single off of his highly-anticipated album Harry's House.

Following the song's release, Styles appeared on SiriusXM's "The Morning Mash Up," where he couldn't help but burst with pride over his latest work, which he claimed has been a "liberating" process.

"I feel very lucky that this is the proudest I've been of something that I've made so far," he gushed. "I feel the most comfortable I've been with myself and happiest with what I'm making and the best I felt about something that I'm making."

"This process for me has been easily the most joyous of anything that I've kind of experienced so far while making music."

The "Watermelon Sugar" singer got his start as part of the boy band One Direction, which also featured Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

He later kicked off his solo career after the band stopped working together in 2015, and dropped his own album Harry Styles in 2017 and Fine Line in 2019, giving his fans even more reason to swoon over him.

While discussing his new track during Friday's interview, the musician revealed he wrote the song in the front room of his friend's house in the English countryside and has now become one of his favorite songs on the album.

But Styles didn't give all the credit to his latest musical project, as he insisted, "I also feel really happy at the moment," in life in general, which could have something to do with his budding romance with actress Olivia Wilde, who he first linked up with back in 2020.

The steamy flames — who first connected when Styles was cast in her directorial film Don't Worry, Darling — have been cranking up the heat on their romance, with Wilde, 38, being spotted on multiple occasions supporting her beau at his concerts and sporting merch from his tour.

As OK! previously reported, Wilde has been trying to get the handsome hunk more opportunities in the film industry, considering he has already dominated the music world.
