Human Remains Found Near Florida Reserve Where Brian Laundrie's Belongings Were Found
Officials announced that human remains were discovered in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park located inside Florida's Carlton Reserve — near where Brian Laundrie’s belongings were recently uncovered.
According to NBC News, a cadaver dog located what is believed to be partial human remains found in an area that was previously submerged in water. However, the outletreports that there has been no confirmation the remains belong to the fugitive, who went missing September 17.
As OK! previously reported, the Laundries' family lawyer, Steven Bertolino, announced Brian's belongings were discovered after his parents Chris and Roberta joined the FBI on their manhunt in Carlton Reserve on Wednesday, October 20.
"Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park this morning to search for Brian," the lawyer announced, per News Nation Now's Brian Entin. "The FBI and NPPD were informed last night of Brian’s parents’ intentions and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning."

"After a brief search off a trail that Brian frequented some articles belonging to Brian were found," the attorney continued. "As of now law enforcement is conducting a more thorough investigation of that area."
Brian became America’s Most Wanted after he returned home alone on September 1 from his and fiancée Gabby Petito's cross-country road trip under suspicious circumstances. After the 22-year-old influencer was reported missing by her parents, her remains were discovered at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Her death has been ruled a homicide, with a coroner confirming last week that she died by manual strangulation.
Meanwhile, Brian mysteriously vanished just days before Gabby's body was discovered, with his parents telling authorities they last saw their son on Tuesday, September 14 — three days before they reported him missing. Chris and Roberta have since retracted their statement, clarifying that their son actually went hiking in the Carlton Reserve one day prior.
After Brian didn't return home Monday night from his hike, Chris revealed he went looking for him in the reserve. Both Chris and Roberta returned to the site later that week, and found their son's abandoned car — which they drove home.
