SZA is ready for a change, and that could possibly mean taking a step back from some of the more demanding aspects of the music industry.
The Grammy Award winner — born Solána Imani Rowe — is currently preparing to release her first album in five years since the drop of Ctrl in 2017, but after that, she's claimed the plan is to completely avoid the frustrations of being in the public eye.
"I’m very excited to put my own album out and have that represent me however it needs to," she told Grazia USA in an exclusive interview.

SZA recently spilled her latest project will drop as soon as this summer, but once her album is completely finished, she firmly told the outlet she's "never talking or coming outside again." Instead, she claimed she wanted to "focus on speaking, being, and breathing through my art only."
This isn't the first time the "No Love" singer has spoken out about potentially needing a break from the pressures of fame. The artist appeared fed up and frustrated in a series of social media posts shared on Tuesday, May 3.
"I swear to God if I didn’t accidentally fall in love w music .. I would NEVER EVER COME OUTSIDE," she tweeted earlier this week. "Y’all suck the joy and life out of EVERYTHING. Thank God for purpose cause Outside of art it’s f*** y’all . Now run w that ."
"When I said I BE SO SICK OF U ****** YALL CONTRADICTING . I was talking to everyone. Not men . For the record . I hate u was a universal emotion. Take care," she wrote in another tweet, later adding, "And please know when I drop anything it’s not for y’all . It’s to free my motherf****ing self ."
