Jaclyn Smith is revealing one of the more unexpected propositions she received during her time on Charlie's Angels.
The 80-year-old claims her late costar Tanya Roberts once asked her to have a threesome with Roberts and her husband, Barry Roberts, shortly after Tanya joined the hit series for the fifth and final season.

Jaclyn recalls the surprising encounter in her new memoir, I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, released Tuesday, September 8.
According to Jaclyn, Tanya and her husband had an open marriage and weren't shy about inviting other people into their relationship.
While traveling to Hawaii to film Charlie's Angels in 1980, Tanya allegedly asked Jaclyn if she'd be interested in joining the couple for a threesome.
Jaclyn Smith Turned Down the Offer
Jaclyn Smith said she declined Tanya Roberts' offer but admired her costar for being open about her sexuality.
Jaclyn ultimately declined Tanya's proposition, but she apparently wasn't offended by the question.
Instead, Jaclyn writes that she found Tanya's openness about her sexuality "brave and self-aware."
Tanya, who died in 2021 at age 65, was married to Barry from 1974 until he died in 2006.

Tanya became the newest Angel when she joined the show as Julie Rogers for Season 5.
By that point, the series had undergone several major cast changes. Farrah Fawcett left as a series regular after the first season, while Kate Jackson departed after Season 3. Cheryl Ladd and Shelley Hack were among the actresses brought in as the lineup evolved.
Jaclyn, meanwhile, was the only original Angel to remain a series regular throughout all five seasons.

Jaclyn Smith has also opened up about the drug use she witnessed behind the scenes during the final season of 'Charlie's Angels.'
Jaclyn's memoir includes other surprising revelations about the show's final season.
She claims cocaine had become a "constant presence" on set by that point, prompting her to spend increasing amounts of time alone in her motor home. Jaclyn said she never used the drug herself after seeing the effect it had on others.
The actress already knew Season 5 would be her last, and Charlie's Angels ultimately came to an end in 1981.

"That sisterhood was strong," Jaclyn told People of the bond she shared with Farrah and Kate.
Her new memoir arrives just weeks before Charlie's Angels marks the 50th anniversary of its September 1976 premiere.
