Jennifer Garner is determined to shake things up in 2021 — starting with her love life! 

An insider tells OK! the perpetually upbeat A-lister — who recently shared a video of herself meditating on being "grounded in love" — is actively hoping to find Mr. Right. "She's put the word out to her friends to set her up and has joined apps and gotten some fascinating responses," dishes the insider. "She really wants a guy to share her life with."

Garner, 48, has been mostly single and focused on hands-on parenting kids Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 8, since her split from their dad, Ben Affleck, in 2015. (OK! also reported that she's been busy helping her "heartbroken" baby daddy navigate his recent split from Ana de Armas and even "picking up the pieces," according to a source.)

Garner, who was previously married to Felicity costar Scott Foley, "tried to make her relationship with Ben work," says the insider, noting that the last thing she wanted was another divorce. 

But since the split, Garner "hasn't wasted her time crying into her pillow about it — she's been focused on being a good mom," continues the insider. "Still, she feels there's more to life than making lunches and helping with homework. She wants a partner, and the ideal guy would be self-sufficient, financially stable and fit, with a good sense of humor."

The insider adds that Garner is casting a wide net, and keeping an open mind to younger or long-distance suitors. "She figures, why not? Jen loved Ben and Scott, but she really believes there's more than one soulmate for her out there," shares the insider. "She's made it clear that she won't give up on love."
