It’s over! Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have split after dating for almost a year. The former flames were constantly going on coffee runs together or seen walking around California — so, what exactly went wrong?
First, Affleck’s cardboard cutout of de Armas — which his kids played with over the summer — was spotted in the trash outside his home, making it seem like the Argo star is ready to move for good.
Some eagle-eyed fans believe that Casey Affleck was the one to get rid of the photo of de Armas for his brother.
Additionally, the actress was interested in expanding her brood, whereas Affleck was not.
"He would not commit to having more kids," an insider revealed. "She is in her 30s. It was a deal-breaker."
The 48-year-old shares three children — Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8 — with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The kiddos "adored" de Armas and "think she's fun and treat her like she's a part of the Affleck crew," a source previously told OK!.
Ultimately, Ben "is not in a place to start a new family. Both he and Ana have three jobs lined up. His family has, and will continue, to be his focus," another source added.
"Ben is no longer dating Ana," OK! previously reported. "She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles."

"This is something that was mutual and something that is completely amicable," another source said. "They are in different points in their lives and there is deep love and respect there and Ben continues to want to work on himself. He has three jobs lined up and he’s a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives."
Even though the Hollywood stars seem to be cordial, they supposedly broke up over the phone. "They have had numerous discussions about their future and they decided together to break up," a source said.
The former couple first met on the set of Deep Water and hit it off. de Armas even went on vacation with Affleck and his family on a trip to Georgia in June 2020. "Ben makes Ana feel so happy and secure, and he's been extremely supportive of her career and helps with advice whenever she needs it," a source previously told OK!.
The breakup comes as a shock since everything seemed to be going well for the pair.
They took the next step in their relationship over the summer when de Armas moved into Affleck’s Los Angeles pad, and she put her Venice home on the market last month.
"She had a huge grin and seemed very excited about living with Affleck," a source said at the time. However, the move may have been premature, as de Armas is reportedly looking at rental homes in West Hollywood, Calif.
Still, friends of the couple think there’s a chance of reconciliation. "They could get back together," an insider spilled. "They are in love. People who know them believe it’s temporary."
