EXCLUSIVE'No More Scandals Or They're Finished': Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Were 'Hanging On By A Thread' Before Reconciling, Source Spills

On March 12, rumors swirled that Jennifer Lopez and fiancé Alex Rodriguez had pulled the plug on their four-year romance. And while OK! can confirm that the two are still a couple, a source says that the superstar, 51, has set some new rules for the ex MLB player, 45.
"Jennifer is done burying her head in the sand," spills the source. "Things will have to change if Alex wants them to have a future together."
Problems between the pair began to pop up during lockdown and only got worse in February after Rodriguez was linked to Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy. While the reality star and Rodriguez both denied cheating accusations — LeCroy admitted they had FaceTimed but insisted they'd never met in person — Lopez was furious, spills an insider.
"She saw it as a betrayal," says the source, "and told Alex to get packing." Before agreeing to work things out, "Jennifer and Alex were hanging on by a thread," adds the tipster.
After Lopez cooled down, she and Rodriguez had a heart-to-heart. "They decided to try to work through their issues," shares the source, noting that there are some conditions. "She's ordered Alex to get therapy and said no more scandals or they're finished."

There's also buzz that she's put their nuptials on hold indefinitely.
"The wedding is off, but if Alex can show that he's committed to this relationship, Jennifer will reconsider," explains the source, adding that friends aren't holding their breath.
"No one sees it lasting because a tiger can't change his stripes," the source continues. "But in the end, no one tells Jennifer what to do."
This isn't the first time J.Lo has put her foot down in her relationship with A-Rod. As OK! previously reported, she's been keeping a very close watch on her man ever since their relationship made headlines. "Let’s just say Alex won’t be liking reality stars' thirsty pictures on social media anymore. He is on a very tight leash," another source insisted.
Only time will tell if the power couple can truly ride out the storm.
