“After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I've ignored for too long,” he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on. This process will be difficult, but my #1 priority is to get healthy and be the best man and the best father I can for my daughter.”
Ortiz-Magro — who shares daughter Ariana with ex-girlfriend Jen Harley — was taken into custody on Thursday, April 22, for allegedly attacking Matos. He was later released on a $100,000 bond.
The Jersey Shore star was awarded a victory in the case last week as he avoided jail time. OK! reported he was sentenced to take 26 parenting classes, as well as having a three-year protective order declaring he can’t “harass or intimidate” Matos issued.
He was also given credit for completing a rehab stint in Florida, which allowed him to skip out on 30 days in jail.
Ortiz-Magro isn’t the only face returning to the beloved series: OK! learned OG cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is back and filming for the new season after exiting in 2019 to spend more time with her kids.
