Jill Biden is all for son Hunter taking on the U.S. presidential race if he ever wanted to.
The former first lady, 75, was asked on an upcoming episode of "The Jamie Kern Lima Show" what she thought about the artist, 56, possibly running for office.
Jill Biden revealed her thoughts about son Hunter possibly running for the U.S. presidency.
In a clip for the Thursday, August 20, episode of the podcast obtained by People, host Jamie Kern Lima, 49, inquired: “What would you tell [Hunter]? What would President [Joe] Biden tell him [if he were to run]?”

'Hunter’s gotta find his own path,' Jill Biden said on the podcast.
“You know, I do have a funny answer for that,” Jill laughed. “I would say, ‘Run.’ But then you take that how you want to.”
“Hunter’s gotta find his own path, and whatever he decides to do … I feel this is true his whole life, I feel it from all our kids, whatever they decide to do, our grandkids, our kids, we’ll support them,” she shared.

Jill Biden said she and husband Joe are 'so proud' of Hunter.
“We will support them 100 percent, and I felt that same way about Joe. A lot of times when he thought about running for president and it was kind of unreal and daunting, I thought, ‘I believe in you and I will support you.’ And that’s how I feel about all my kids and grandkids,” the View From the East Wing memoirist continued.
Elsewhere in the chat, Jill discussed how she and husband Joe, 83, feel about Hunter being candid on his addiction recovery.
Hunter Biden Has Been Sober for 7 Years

Hunter Biden previously suffered with crack and alcohol addiction.
Hunter has been sober since July 2019 and frequently shares his story on social media.
"We’re just so proud of him, that he can be so honest and say things other people won’t say, and feel comfortable with it, because he’s been through it," she said. "I think now is Hunter’s time to shine. He’s doing really good things."
“Something good’s happening,” Jill continued, referencing Hunter’s outspoken clips about his rehabilitation journey. “Well, for so long it was taboo, you didn’t talk about it. People just would never, ever say, ‘You know, my child is an addict,’ I couldn’t say it.”
Hunter Biden's Addictions Got Worse After His Brother Beau Died in 2015

Jill Biden said it's now 'Hunter's time to shine' amid his sobriety journey.
"It's amazing how things have turned around. So you see, I do believe a lot of times that good things come from bad things," Jill noted.
Hunter previously struggled with alcohol and crack addictions, detailing his issues in his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things. He discussed in his autobiography that his problems worsened after his older brother, Beau, passed away in 2015 due to brain cancer.
"My brother had just died, I'd separated with my wife, I was in an apartment by myself, and I was basically drinking myself to death. Grief does funny things. And combine that with addiction, and it is a really hard thing to overcome," the businessman told the BBC ahead of the book's release.
