John Travolta Honors Late Son Jett On What Would Have His Been His 30th Birthday: 'I Miss You'

Paying tribute. On April 14, John Travolta made an Instagram post in honor of his late son, Jett, who would have turned 30 today.

The actor, 68, posted a black-and-white photo of them side by side with the caption, "My dearest Jetty, I miss you more than words can say. I think about you everyday. Happy Birthday. Love, your Dad."

The Grease star received a ton of support, with Andy Cohen and Jennifer Garner liking the post, while Jamie Lee Curtis commented, "Oh John. My hand in yours. X j." His daughter, Ella Bleu, 22, also left a note, writing, "Happy Birthday Jetty, we love you so much ❤️."

Jett, who had Kawasaki disease and was autistic, was 16 when he died of a seizure in 2009 while on a family trip in the Bahamas.

The following year, Travolta and wife Kelly Preston welcomed son Benjamin, now 10, and the brood suffered another tragic loss when Preston died from breast cancer at age 57 in July 2020.

"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many," the father-of-three wrote in a statement. "My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly's love and life will always be remembered."

The Hairspray star has credited Scientology for helping him work through his grief, but as OK! has reported, he isn't looking for love right now.

"John's had no shortage of friends wanting to set him up and there are a lot of women who would love to go out with him," an insider shared. "John is flattered, but he just isn't interested."
