Jimmie Allen is a married man! The country star said "I do" on Thursday, May 27 to his love Alexis Gale.
The "Freedom Was A Highway" singer and his new bride, who works as a nurse, celebrated their nuptials happily surrounded by group of family and friends. The guest list was filled with country royalty with stars like Darius Rucker, Tyler Rich, and Chuck Wicks all in attendance.
The couple, who met through Allen's cousin's wife, are both originally from Milton, Delaware. In Allen's eyes, this makes Gale feel like home to him.
"With Alexis being from my hometown, it is like always having a piece of home with me. We had an immediate connection. It was like we'd always known each other," the star revealed.
"Her smile melts me, her pure heart challenges me to love better, the way she motivates and supports me is unlike anything I've ever seen, the way she loves me and my son is unlike anything I've ever experienced," he added. "It feels incredible to find the type of love I've been writing songs about all these years!"
The duo share their adorable 14 month-old daughter Naomi Bettie and Allen's 7 year-old son from a previous relationship, Aadyn.
The "Make Me Want To" singer and Gale, both 25, got engaged at Disney World in July 2019. Originally the young couple were supposed to get married in 2020, but like many other engaged couples, they had to push their date back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Yeah, we pushed it back to next year, so I'm excited about that. Hopefully, it'll all be good." the award winning musician stated about their new wedding plans.
One year later and it seems that these newlyweds were finally able to have the wedding of their dreams!
