Kaley Cuoco & Estranged Husband Karl Cook Seemingly Worked Out A Deal Before Filing For Divorce
Kaley Cuoco and estranged husband Karl Cook may be heading their separate ways, but not before making one final plan as a couple.
The Hollywood duo seemed to agree on a public relations strategy before heading to court to finalize their divorce after their three-year marriage.
Cuoco filed for divorce from Cook on Friday, September 3, in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to the records, obtained by Radar. The 30-year-old equestrian filed his response to the divorce the very same day, which is deemed unusual.
In a typical divorce, the petitioner would file and the respondent would show up a few weeks or months later.
In Cuoco and Cook's case, the two — who were first linked in 2016 — released a joint statement to announce their split the same day the actress officially filed for divorce.
Cook's same-day response seemed to suggest the two worked out a plan before The Big Bang Theory star filed the court documents. In addition, the fact that only one lawyer, Chloe Wolman, was listed for both parties furthered speculation that the former flames already worked out a deal behind-the-scenes, according to the outlet, so there was no need for Cook to have a lawyer defending him.
The pair revealed their split in a joint statement last week, sharing: "Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions."

"We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together," the statement read. "There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary."
Cook proposed to Cuoco on her birthday in 2017, and the duo wed the following year during a ceremony near San Diego, Calif.
The blonde beauty, 35, and her soon-to-be ex-husband may have been working on their split prior to breaking the news to the public, but an insider told PEOPLE their breakup shocked Cuoco's inner circle. "In the beginning of the summer, Kaley seemed very happy with Karl. They were affectionate and seemed great," said the source. "The split seems very sudden. It's pretty shocking."
Back in June, Cuoco even gushed about her man on their three-year anniversary, as she took to social media and wrote: “2 years to the day before we got married and now 3 years married! Why have you stayed married to me for so long?! I'm sincerely impressed @mrtankcook lol I love you oh so much you have no idea…happy anniversary!!!"
However, another insider told PEOPLE the two have been "growing apart and each pursuing separate interests," as Cuoco "has a big career and puts that first in her life." Meanwhile, Cook is a "lifelong equestrian," explained the source, who said: "His jumping career has picked up recently."
As their divorce is expected to wrap up within months, Cuoco has been causing romance rumors with her Meet Cute costar Pete Davidson — who also recently split from Bridgerton star Pheobe Dynevor. Speculation surrounding a possible romance between the two began swirling after Cuoco recently shared pics and videos of herself annoying the Saturday Night Live star on set.
