Kanye West Reportedly Cheated On Kim Kardashian During Marriage, New Song 'Hurricane' Is Rapper 'Taking Accountability For Their Marriage Breakdown': Source
It seems Kanye West may have been unfaithful to Kim Kardashian during their marriage.
West released his long awaited album Donda last week, but the track "Hurricane" raised some eyebrows.
"Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin," West raps in the song.
"The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown," an insider told Page Six.
A source told the publication that the "new chick" the 44-year-old was referring to was not Irina Shayk. The two had a brief fling after he and Kardashian split. "If you look closer to the lyrics he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids," the source said.
"Architectural Digest, but I needed home improvement / Sixty-million-dollar home, never went home to it," West sang in the song. "Genius gone clueless, it’s a whole lot to risk / Alcohol anonymous, who’s the busiest loser?"
When asked about the split on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion, the 40-year-old said that "it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part."
"I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try," Kardashian explained.
The former flames appear to be on good terms now: The SKIMS founder attended several Donda listening events. She and West even recreated their wedding at the third listening event, with Kardashian wearing a Balenciaga Couture wedding dress.
"Kim is not rushing the divorce," an insider recently told E! News. "She and Kanye are in a good place right now and she is not on a rushed timeline to push the divorce forward."
The former couple is "finally in a great place and Kim wants to enjoy this time and be a family unit," the source said.
It sounds like it might not be over for Kimye. "Kanye has expressed that he wants her back, and Kim is open to it, but wants to focus first on rebuilding their foundation and friendship back stronger," the insider spilled.
The reality star is "really happy" the co-parents are on good terms right now and it's important to her "for the sake of the kids, who are really close to their dad."
