'She Likes Him As A Friend': Kanye West & Irina Shayk's Romance Fizzling Out, Sources Say
The spark between Kanye West and Irina Shayk is fizzling out.
The "Famous" singer, 44, reportedly asked Shayk to attend a couture show in Paris with him, but she turned him down — with one of the reasons being because the Russian model wants to avoid making headlines. "She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him," an insider told Page Six.
"She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [in Paris with him]," the insider added. "It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating."
The two were first linked in June as they celebrated West's 44th birthday in Provence, France, after his ex Kim Kardashian filed for divorce earlier this year. "She went to his birthday party as a friend. There were 50 other people there," a source noted.
An OK! insider spilled that "Irina was impressed by the planning Kanye put into the trip" and "he wanted to go all out."
However, "She doesn’t want to be linked with anyone right now," the source said per Page Six, with Shayk, 35, sharing daughter, Lea, 4, with ex Bradley Cooper. "She is happy being single."

Cooper is "worried she could get caught up in Kanye’s controversies or over-the-top publicity stunts," a source previously told OK!. The Hangover star, 46, is also "furious" that the mother of his child appears to be getting involved with "someone whose behavior is erratic, to say the least."
The pair have been longtime friends after they first met in 2010 on set of West's "Power" music video set. Two years later, West also cast Shayk in a Yeezy fashion show.
West has "always said Irina was an extraordinary, classy lady," the insider noted. "They’re interested in fashion and music, plus Irina’s got a real thirst for travel and adventure."
