"On May 1st, Viviana aka 'Vivi' joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. 💕 She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister," the White House press secretary, 28, shared in a Thursday, May 7, Instagram post.
Karoline Leavitt Welcomes Her Second Child

Karoline Leavitt posted the first photo of her daughter on Thursday, May 7.
"We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble," she added, also referring to husband Nicholas Riccio, 60. "Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy — I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.🙏."
The couple has sparked backlash due to their large age gap, but Leavitt has always brushed off the comments.
In the upload, the mother-of-two donned a pale pink cardigan as her infant rested on her chest. The little one's nursery was decked out in the same shade of the color, from the curtains and shelves to an Hermes blanket draped on a rocking chair.
Donald Trump's daughter Tiffany Trump, as well as his daughter-in-law Lara Trump gave the post a "like."

The couple has received backlash over their age gap.
"My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth," she continued.
"🥹I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House," she added. "2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom! 💗."
Who Will Replace Karoline Leavitt?

The couple also have son Niko, who was born in 2024.
Politico's White House Bureau Chief Dasha Burns claimed last week that several members of the administration will take over for Karoline while she's on maternity leave.
"No one will be filling in for Leavitt formally during her leave — but the comms shop is planning to have some familiar faces at the podium to brief the press including VP J.D. Vance, Cabinet officials or even Trump himself," Burns wrote on X. "Leavitt will be returning to the podium after her maternity leave, though it’s unclear exactly how many weeks she’ll take."
