Keep Them Coming! Katharine McPhee Can't Wait To Expand Family With Hubby David Foster After Welcoming Baby Boy Rennie, Spills Source

It's barely been a month since Katharine McPhee became a mom, but she's so over the moon that she can't wait to grow her family — which may come as a surprise to her much-older hubby, David Foster!
When the American Idol alum, 37, gave birth to the couple's first child, son Rennie, in February, the 71-year-old composer — who has five grown daughters from previous relationships — "thought it was a one-and-done thing," spills a friend. "David definitely sees this new baby as a blessing, but he's eager to get back to work on his music."
Friends and family, however, are convinced the Smash actress will have the last word.

"Everyone is fully on board with Katharine's plan to have more kids, and they're certain that she'll get David to come around to her way of thinking," a second pal shares. "They're all saying he should have seen this coming."
OK! reported back in October that the duo was expecting their first child together. The couple never announced the news together, but they were spotted checking out baby stores in Montecito, Calif. where McPhee was also seen sporting a baby bump.
That same month, the Scorpion star hinted on social media that she was expecting.

"I just came home and opened this gift from Aperol Spritz, which for those of you who don't know … it's one of my favorite drinks and reminds me of being in Capri," McPhee said on her Instagram Story at the time. "Thank you, Aperol Spritz. I won't be drinking this anytime soon, wink, wink. But I'm very excited! Who's coming over for an Italian-inspired cocktail?"
McPhee and Foster got married in London in June 2019. They first met in 2006 when the latter appeared on American Idol as her mentor.
The 35 years age difference between them has raised eyebrows over the years and Erin Foster, one of Foster's five daughters, told PEOPLE last year that she jokingly calls McPhee "Mommy."
"Interestingly, the age difference has played a role in a positive way," she dished of their relationship. "Our dad comes from a generation where women are more passive. He is also passive about his feelings. Kat has really pushed him to open up. We could get into a fight, and then Kat's like, 'No, you have to pick up the phone, call your daughter back.' She's a facilitator, which is really important. She pushes him to be more emotional and more vulnerable."
