Kathie Lee Gifford 'Excited' To Become A Grandma, Believes Late Husband Frank Would Be 'So Happy' For Their Family
Grandma-to-be Kathie Lee Gifford is on cloud nine as she awaits the arrival of son Cody's first child!
The star, 68, couldn't help but gush over her family expanding, revealing that when it comes to the baby's gender, Cody and his wife, Erika, are "doing it the old-fashioned way" and won't find out until the latter gives birth.
"You know what, I'm not excited for me, weirdly. I'm so excited for my son and his wife, and for my daughter [Cassidy], who's gonna be an aunt," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I'm just sort of watching it all. And I'm going to get excited the day that baby is put into my arms."

The mom-of-two also touched on how her late husband Frank — who passed away in 2015 at age 84 — would be over the moon to meet his grandchild, sharing with the outlet, "It's funny, I was saying to my son last night that, 'Daddy would be so happy, honey, with so many things going on in our lives. Daddy would be — daddy's smiling.'"
Over two years ago, the TV personality began dating insurance agent Randy Cronk — a man who came into her life by surprise.
"She told people she didn't want to [date]. That she wanted to just focus on gospel singing and producing," a source shared. "She started seeing this guy and was obviously swept off her feet." Some questioned the relationship since Cronk is around a decade younger, but Gifford insisted their romance is "healthy."
"He’s the smartest person I’ve ever met, but he’s funny," she spilled. "And we have a great time together, and so at this point in my life that’s exactly what I need and exactly what I want, you know?"
So much so, than one insider claimed she's ready for him to pop the question! "She is madly in love with Randy and eager to take things to the next level," the insider noted. "But she’s an old-fashioned gal at heart and would never consider living together unless they were married."
