Katy Perry 'Found Her Prince' In Orlando Bloom After 'Some Very Low Moments,' They 'Have A Healthy Relationship': Insider

Today Katy Perry has a loving fiancé, a beautiful daughter and a booming career. But the American Idol judge’s road to true happiness has been a long and winding one. “There have been some very low moments, and Katy’s had to kiss a lot of frogs before she found her prince,” an insider tells OK!. “But she has no regrets because it all led her to where she is today.”

Perry was just 25 when she wed Russell Brand in 2010 — only for him to end the marriage 14 months later via text message. “She thought she'd found her equal, but he was angry and jealous of her success,” the insider says of Perry, 36, who has admitted that her divorce from the actor, 45, was the “first breaking of my idealistic mind.” 

The singer was still hurting when she began hooking up with well-known womanizer John Mayer, 43, in 2012. “Her friends were wary about him, but Katy was smitten,” shares the insider, noting that his wandering eye led to some arguments. 

“She finally gave him the heave-ho [in 2014], but it wasn't over his rumored cheating,” adds the insider. “Her pals say it's because she wanted to focus on her career. There was simply no room for John’s drama in her busy life.”

And while things haven't always been perfect with partner Orlando Bloom, 44 — they briefly broke up in 2017 — friends say he’s Perry’s soulmate. “They have a healthy, communicative relationship. And best of all, he lets Katy just be herself,” says the insider, adding that the pair — who welcomed Daisy in August — are looking forward to tying the knot later this year. 

“They’re planning an intimate beach ceremony in California,” the insider continues. “Katy feels so blessed. She finally has everything she's ever wanted.”
