While Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West one year ago, it seems the former flames still have a long way to go in cutting all ties from each other.

The reality star filed divorce papers in February 2021 and filed to be declared legally single in December. She also requested at the time that her maiden name be restored.

"Kim is still trying to get the 'married' status dissolved to 'single' before they finalize the divorce, but Ye has yet to sign," an insider told E! News. The source added that despite her efforts, her estranged husband is not acting quickly when it comes to finalizing their split.

Things have gone from bad to worse between the coparents, as they butted heads on social media several days ago.

The "Donda" artist, who legally changed his name to Ye, lashed out via Instagram over their daughter North's appearances on TikTok. "SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?" he said at the time.

Though Kardashian normally remains tight lipped about what goes on in their relationship behind closed doors, she responded to his claims and said the artist's "constant attacks" are more hurtful than any video North might post on TikTok.

"Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all," Kardashian wrote on Instagram Friday, February 4.

The SKIMS founder "has sat back and always taken the high road to protect the kids as best as she can," an insider told the publication, as the 41-year-old is doing her best to give her children a normal, stable life.

"She doesn't appreciate Kanye coming in and tearing her down," the insider reportedly pointed out of their recent public drama. "She isn't going to stand for it and she's not afraid of him. She has put up with so much and she's done with being nice."

California family law attorney Elizabeth Nigro spoke to the publication about how the former flames' children's social media activity could be determined in a custody agreement. "Every judge is going to have a different viewpoint," the lawyer explained. "But the law is that the court can order one parent or the other to have sole decision-making authority on this type of issue."

Kim and Ye share children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
