Kim Kardashian West Won’t Change Her Last Name Despite Pending Divorce From Kanye West
Kim Kardashian West isn’t planning on changing up her name anytime soon.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 40 will reportedly not be dropping “West” from her last name, even after officially filing to divorce Kanye West in February.
As reported by TMZ, sources close to the estranged pair have confirmed that Kim will remain a “West”.
According to the outlet, Kim won’t be applying for a name change in order to keep the same last name as her four children who she shares with the Yeezus artist. North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, will also keep their father’s name as well.
Meanwhile, Kanye has plans for his own moniker. The 44-year-old rapper reportedly filed to legally change his name earlier this week from “Kanye” to just “Ye.”
Kim is apparently supportive of his decision, and according to TMZ sources, the reality star believes that people will still refer to him as Kanye West, despite the legal change.

That isn’t the only support Kim has been giving to her estranged hubby. The KKW Beauty founder attended both listening parties for the rapper’s new album Donda, alongside the former couple’s children who were also cheering on their dad.
Kim even took to Twitter to celebrate the album, posting a video of Kanye ascending into a cloud of smoke, with the hashtag #DONDA in the caption.
Even as their divorce proceedings continue, the former lovers still seem to be on good terms. The parents-of-four were photographed keeping things cordial while they grabbed food on a quick lunch date in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday, August, 19.
The exes seem to be sending mixed signals about their current status. Just last week, Kanye was seen shopping around Los Angeles while still wearing his wedding band.
OK! exclusively learned that even though Kim is trying to show support for her baby daddy, she is getting frustrated with him regarding the divorce.
An insider shared that Kim is "still having trouble getting him to come to the negotiating table," although they are on "much better terms" than when the divorce was originally filed.
