Kim Kardashian Shares Clip Of Estranged Hubby Kanye West Ascending Into The Air At 'Donda' Listening Event

Kanye West's Donda album release events are sure to be one for the books.

On Thursday, August 5, Kim Kardashian shared a glimpse of her estranged husband's performance in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia — where he has been camping out to finish up his highly anticipated album — with him casually ascending to the ceiling of the stadium while surrounded by white lights and smoke.

His event appeared to be in West fashion: Completely shocking. While many die-hard fans praised the artist for his creative performance, others were quick to poke fun at his dramatic show, as one audience member joked: “he swear he Jesus."

"Me caring my drunk a** fiancée in the house after she underestimated that casamigos 😩😩," comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. quipped in the comment section of a post showing West being lifted into the air.

An insider explained the "Power" crooner planned to put a new twist on his second album release after he hosted a listening party last month — which consisted of about 42,000 fans lining up to hear the new tracks — on July 22 to debut Donda, named for his late mother who passed away in 2007.

Given that West decided not to release the album on the initial July 24 release date, he held another listening party two weeks later.

This time around, West seemed to transform into a supervillain, as rapper Lil Yachty — who has a feature on West's 10th studio album — shared a photo of the two backstage, with West seemingly covered in black spikes while wearing a black face mask.

During West's second performance, the KUWTK reality star and couple's children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, were seen rocking Balenciaga's collection with Yeezy from head-to-toe. Kardashian shared a photo of the shiny Balenciaga mask with matching gloves on her Instagram Story. The KKW beauty founder and kiddos were also in attendance for the father-of-four's first release party.

Prior to his performance, OK! reported Apple Music created an exclusive livestream for the rapper, which appeared to be in real-time. During the stream, in what was believed to be the 44-year-old's dressing room with a bed, West wore bizarre outfits while hiding his face under masks. He was also seen pumping iron and doing push-ups as he geared up for his big performance.

Though West's estranged wife — who he has been married to since 2014 — was showing West love and support in the audience, OK! learned their divorce is still happening. Kardashian, 40, filed for divorce in February after the two had been living "separate lives" for months following his tumultuous U.S. presidential campaign.

Meanwhile, the former power couple is remaining a united front, as they're reportedly trying to iron out their divorce in private to shield their children from the drama. "They want this to be a gradual process while they figure out boundaries that will make the negotiations easier," said an OK! insider.
