Kelly Ripa gave fans an unfiltered update.
On Wednesday, August 19, the 55-year-old shared a video message with her fans while cuddled up in bed after undergoing gum graft surgery.
Kelly Ripa went bare-faced for the video.
Ripa has been recovering from the major surgery since July and will not officially return to Live With Kelly and Mark with her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, until after Labor Day, for the premiere of the morning show's 39th season.
Shared on the official Instagram page for her "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast, the clip showed a barefoot Ripa lounging on the bed in blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a tan sweater as she spoke into the microphone.
Going makeup-free, she was joined by her podcast producers Jan Schillay and Albert Bianchini.

'We Are in Bed Together, and We Are Happy as Clams'
Kelly Ripa joked 'it's gone there' during the video.
"I am so sleepy. I’m extra comfortable today because Jan, Albert, and I are in bed together," the All My Children star started.
"Yes, that’s right, dear listeners. It’s gone there," she continued as the camera panned around the room to show her, Schillay and Bianchini all sitting on the same bed holding their microphones.
Ripa joked, "We are in bed together, and we are happy as clams. We are so comfortable. Although Albert’s on my side, so he’s roasting."

'It’s Finally Time to Unwind'
Kelly Ripa had gum graft surgery in July.
"We’re celebrating small rituals that signal it’s finally time to unwind," she added in a voiceover, as the camera zoomed out to show the trio all fast "asleep" on the bed.
The caption read, "Kelly was so comfortable on her @sleepnumber bed, she almost fell asleep while recording this episode!"
However, it is unclear if the ad was filmed before or after the TV star underwent the mouth surgery last month.
'She's Not Allowed to Talk'
Kelly Ripa was advised not to speak while in recovery.
Ripa has been out of work since leaving Consuelos, 55, with an array of guest co-hosts. He first shared during the Monday, July 27 episode of Live that his wife was recovering from the procedure.
Consuelos also shared that she was "doing great," but the one caveat was "she's not allowed to talk," hence her absence from the talk show. Kevin Jonas, who filled in for Ripa during the July 27 episode, joked that it has "got to be the hardest thing she's ever done" as the audience laughed.
Consuelos also shared that the actress – who has taken very few breaks from the show since becoming a permanent co-host in February 2001 – was in pain, despite her usually high pain tolerance.
