Mama June Shannon's Estranged Ex Geno Doak Checks Into Rehab, Required To Stay A Minimum 120 Days
Mama “June” Shannon's estranged ex, Geno Doak, has checked into rehab.
According to reports, Doak was hospitalized earlier this month in Fort Pierce, Florida. The reason he landed in the hospital is unclear, but TMZ reported doctors referred him to a recovery center.
Doak reportedly entered the facility on Monday and will be a resident in the long-term intensive program.
The 45-year-old will be “required to make a minimum of a 120-day commitment,” however, he may stay longer, court docs read. The program is designed to help those make a positive transition into sober living.
All residents are eventually required to seek employment and encouraged to take responsibility in regards to their recovery.
In 2019, Doak and Mama June were nabbed by authorities outside an Alabama gas station and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a recent expose, Alana Thompson — aka “Honey Boo Boo” — reflected on the pain she's endured watching her mother struggle with addiction.
“A lot of folks in this world do not realize how many people are actually really affected by drug and alcohol [use],” the former child beauty pageant contestant told Teen Vogue last month. “It’s very, very hard. It’s something I’d wish on nobody, for real.”
“When my mama got real bad with her [drug use], I didn’t know where I was going to end up,” the 16-year-old reality TV star continued. “I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come.”
The teenager, who was previously estranged from her mother, revealed they are working on getting their relationship “back on track,” and she’s proud of her mom’s progress so far.
Mama June has reportedly been sober for about a year and a half as she works on getting her life and family back in order.
