A source says Mariah Carey has told her longtime beau, Bryan Tanaka, she has “no interest” in tying the knot, much to his disappointment.
Carey, 52, who hooked up with the 38-year-old backup dancer in 2016, “is very much in love with Bryan. But when he recently brought up the subject of marriage, she stopped him in his tracks,” spills the source, who says that after two trips to the altar — with Tommy Mottola and Nick Cannon — the hitmaker’s had enough.
“Mariah was only 23 when she married Tommy, but he got too controlling and she felt smothered,” the source explains.
As for her Wild 'N Out host ex, “they wanted to have kids, and she didn’t want to do that outside of marriage,” continues the source, noting they split not long after welcoming twins Monroe and Moroccan, 10.
Even though Tanaka has become a big part of the kids’ lives, “Mariah isn’t budging,” adds the source. “She’s made it clear she wants to officially remain single.”

Meanwhile, OK! exclusively reported in July that the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer was worried that her most recent ex-hubby wouldn't have time for their twins, now that Cannon is a father of seven.
The source dished that the Grammy Award winning songstress was "beyond concerned" and thought the former host of America's Got Talent host was being truly "irresponsible and reckless."
“Mariah really wants and needs Nick to be an active presence in their kids’ lives,” the source spilled. “He swears he has enough love and enough time to be a great parent to all his children, but his attention is going to be divided every which way!”
The Precious actress isn't exactly out of bounds with her concerns: Cannon has had four children born in less than a year to three different baby mamas.
Little Zen Cannon was born on June 23 to proud mama Alyssa Scott. Less than two weeks before, Zion Mixolydian Cannon & Zillion Heir Cannon were born on June 14 to Abby De La Rosa, and in December of 2020, he welcomed his daughter, Powerful Queen, with ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bell.
