"I mean, listen. Let’s just put it this way. I would stay in a loveless marriage just to make sure I could be with Lena every day. That’s how much I love Lena," Consuelos confessed.

"Is that all you’re asking for, is a loveless marriage?" asked Ripa before she jokingly continued, "Done!"

The pair had been talking about a new bill Pennsylvania introduced that proposes "new rules about shared schedule, custody arrangements, and divisions of costs associated with the pet" when pet parents get divorced.

The couple often talks about their dog on the Live show.

During the Wednesday, February 25, episode of the popular morning show, Ripa teased her husband about his love for Lena while discussing a foster kitten that needed a home.

When he shared that he would not want to take the cat in, Ripa said, "You’re a Shih Tzu man," as Consuelos agreed: "I’m a Shih Tzu man."

As the conversation continued, he asked his wife, "We do have a weird bond that Dog and I, don't we?"

Ripa was quick to correct her husband, saying, "Um, I would say a codependency."

"We’re codependent. She drank a lot of water this morning,” he shared, explaining that he even tracks Lena’s water intake and steps with an app. "Here’s the thing. This dog has to live as long as I do. I’m trying everything I can. I cannot… I cannot handle the loss."
