Former Bachelor Matt James and his controversial winning contestant, Rachael Kirkconnell, are going strong after a tumultuous few of months.
The 29-year-old hunk — who first met Kirkconnell during season 25 of The Bachelor — was snapped packing on the PDA with the 24-year-old on the beach in Miami. James was spotted with his arm around the brunette beauty as they strolled through the sand.
The on-again-off-again couple’s Florida getaway comes shortly after the pair flaunted their reconciliation in New York City. OK! previously reported, the complicated couple was photographed out for a spa day, getting manicures and pedicures at the membership-based manicure studio GLOSSLAB on Wednesday, May 5.
Their recent outings together come after Bachelor Nation watched James give his final rose to Kirkconnell during The Bachelor finale — and then quickly ended their relationship. While Kirkconnell didn't leave with a ring on her finger, the lovebirds appeared to be head over heels for each other; however, their romance was cut short after photos of Kirkconnell attending an antebellum-themed party in 2018 resurfaced.
Kirkconnell apologized multiple times for her "racist" and "offensive" actions, but the duo went their separate ways. (Until now.)
During the After The Final Rose special, James addressed the scandal head on while speaking face-to-face with Kirkconnell. After speaking to his former girlfriend about the photos, he said he realized: "Rachael might not understand what it means to be Black in America."
The pair reunited on several occasions, yet their reconciliation was short-lived as a woman named Grace claimed she had been talking to James right before their NYC meet-up, which left Kirkconnell "heartbroken."
James and Kirkconnell appear to have moved beyond their troubles and seem ready to give their relationship another chance.
