Matthew Rondeau Confirms Split From Shanna Moakler Following Breakup Rumors: 'I'm Happier Than I Have Ever Been'

It's over! Months after the rumors that Shanna Moakler and Matthew Rondeau broke up began circulating, the handsome hunk confirmed the two parted ways — and he's never been happier.

“I broke up with Shanna months ago, and I’m happier than I have ever been," Rondeau insisted, noting: "I’m focusing truly on finding myself again as a person emotionally and mentally." Despite their split, Rondeau told Life & Style on Thursday, July 29, that he hopes "she finds what she’s looking for, but it’s not going to be me."

While the former flames only began their romance last year, fans speculated Moakler and the model already called it quits earlier this year when they noticed the two unfollowed each other on Instagram before Rondeau confirmed their split.

At the time, eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that the Miss USA contestant — who shares son Landon, 17, and daughter Alabama, 15 with ex-husband Travis Barker — wiped all traces of Rondeau from her social media page.

While Moakler may be reeling from the end of their relationship — after insisting in February that she was in a "good place" while her ex-husband and Kourtney Kardashian's romance made headlines — her kiddos are most likely happy that the Meet the Barkers alum’s on-again, off-again beau is no longer in the picture.

Moakler's teenage daughter previously took aim at both her mom and Rondeau, insisting the mother-of-two is absent from her life and that her former boyfriend has been unfaithful. "Everybody thinks my mother is amazing,” Alabama claimed in an Instagram Story. “Matthew is nothing but awful to her. Not only that, but he cheats on her. My mom has never completely been in my life."

The 15-year-old continued her tirade, asking her followers: "Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom? Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”

At the time, Rondeau came to his blonde babe's defense and shut down Alabama's claims. “Our love is real. We had our ups and downs in the past but never have we cheated on one another," the newly single man insisted in May, per the outlet. He also declared Moakler has always been "an amazing mother," adding that her love for her family was one of the reasons he was so attracted to her.

Alabama has been very open about her feelings towards her parents' significant others, with her recently showing Barker's rumored fiancée some clear favoritism. OK! reported the teenager referred to the KUWTK reality star as her "stepmom" during a recent Instagram Live.

She also gushed over the loved-up couple as rumors that the two got engaged circulated earlier this month. Alongside an adorable photo of Barker and Kardashian smiling and holding hands in a hotel corridor in Sin City, Alabama wrote: “So happy for you guys."
