South Carolina congresswoman Nancy Mace has something to say about Lindsay Clancy's court case.

“If postpartum mental illness becomes a get-out-of-jail-free card for murdering your children, then by that logic, anyone diagnosed with it should lose custody of their kids,” Mace, 48, penned on Facebook on Wednesday, September 2, alongside a clip of her appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored discussing the murder trial.

Lindsay Clancy's Case Was Declared a Mistrial

Lindsay Clancy's jury remained deadlocked on her verdict.

Clancy's defense team alleged during her trial she shouldn't be held criminally responsible as she suffered with postpartum mental health issues and bipolar disorder.

The case was declared a mistrial on Friday, September 4, after the jury remained deadlocked on a verdict as to whether she should be held accountable for the deaths.

During her Piers Morgan Uncensored appearance, Mace — who is a single mother of two — argued with other panelists about Clancy's case.

“I think it’s so interesting how conservative women are completely supporting the pharmaceutical industry. Lindsay Clancy was suffering,” one panelist noted. “Now all of a sudden we’re in support of the pharmaceutical industry? There [are] serious questions here.”

Nancy Mace appeared on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored' recently where she spoke with several panelists about Lindsay Clancy's case.

Mace then pointed out that during the courtroom trial, experts alleged Clancy didn't take her prescribed medication. “I believe that she was experiencing a complete postpartum psychosis," another one of her fellow debaters added.

“I know women who have experienced actual tearing in childbirth that causes extreme psychosis in women, so we have to be having these conversations. Is it an excuse for her to kill her children? Absolutely not," the individual went on.

The person then stated “the act of killing those children is evil,” but also suggested Clancy's case should push a larger conversation about medications that they are allegedly “causing people to do."

"They're so easily accessible,” the panelist said.
