Natalie Harp's Mom Had Strict Control Over Her Life While Raising Family 'Super Conservative,' Claims Estranged Brother Preston

Natalie Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp, recently revealed that her intense devotion to President Donald Trump stems from their strict, socially isolated, conservative Christian childhood in California.

According to an interview Preston gave to the Los Angeles Times, several core elements shaped Natalie's upbringing.

“My mom raised us as super conservative, and [Trump is] everything that she taught us to respect,” he told the Times.

Their mother preferred living in "bubbles" isolated from the outside world, creating a sheltered lifestyle for her children.

“My mom likes living in bubbles,” Preston said of his mother, Jill.

Natalie was homeschooled using biblical worldview materials and spent her childhood reading, playing with dolls or keeping company with adults rather than peers.

“There would be like skateboarding demos, there would be cool stuff going on, but my sister was just with all the grown-ups, and she preferred it,” he explained.

At their Baptist megachurch in San Diego County, Natalie actively avoided the youth group and chose to sit with grown-ups.

Preston stated that Trump embodies the exact concepts of American exceptionalism their mother raised them to respect, which explains her current fixation.

“We were raised with the idea that America was God’s gift to the world and it’s the only place that people really live in freedom,” he explained.

Harp’s fixation on Trump, Preston explained, is definitely due to deeper daddy issues.

In leaked letters published in full by the Daily Beast, Natalie called Trump her “guardian and protector” and said the president is “all that matters” to her.

The siblings are entirely estranged following a deep family fracture in July 2020, when their 61-year-old father, a former business professor at a Christian university, died by suicide.

Preston claims that Natalie and their mother wanted to maintain appearances by falsely telling people he had passed away in his sleep.

Preston's refusal to lie and his insistence on the truth permanently broke his relationship with Natalie, marking the last time they ever spoke.

Today, the siblings lead completely opposite lives. While Natalie serves as Trump's hyper-loyal personal assistant in Washington, Preston lives in Masatepe, Nicaragua, as an anti-imperialist supporter of the Ortega regime.

“I wasn’t really allowed to be in her life,” he said. “If we ever talked on the phone, my mom was listening to everything we’d say, and they were talking on the phone together with me on speakerphone.”
