Is Natalie Portman Pregnant? Actress Flaunts Noticeable Bump While Filming Upcoming 'Thor' Movie
Bumping along? Natalie Portman was seen out and about in Sydney, Australia, on Thursday, February 4, displaying what looked to be a possible baby bump.
In pictures shared by Page Six, the actress, 39 — who is currently Down Under filming Thor: Love and Thunder with Disney/Marvel star Chris Hemsworth — was seen wearing a baseball cap, face mask and workout outfit, which clung to her skin and what appeared to be a bump.
The possible child would be Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied's third child together. The duo — who met while filming 2009's Black Swan and wed in August 2012 — welcomed son Aleph in 2011 and daughter Amelia in 2017.
The possibility of a baby wouldn't seem to stop Portman from shooting her action-packed film. Production has worked around a pregnant actress before. For instance, Gal Gadot did reshoots for Wonder Woman while five months pregnant. At the time, her costume was fitted with a green insert, which was then CGI’ed out in post-production.
And while we haven't seen Portman's costume for the upcoming film, photos from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder were shared on Monday, February 1. Behind the scenes, all the actors were dressed in their Marvel costumes while Portman was seen in a baggy hoodie and loose jeans on a horse.
In July 2019, it was announced that Portman will play a female Thor in the upcoming film, which is based on the comic storyline from The Mighty Thor by Jason Aron.

“That story line is incredible, is full emotion, love and thunder and introduces for the first time female Thor,” Thor 4 director Taika Waititi said upon the news of Portman's prominent new role.
The Oscar winner previously played Jane Foster — who is a scientist and Thor's love interest — in the first two films.
While not giving away too much about her new, super powerful character, Portman gave a bit of insight into the plot of the upcoming film.
"[Jane's] going through cancer treatment and is a superhero on the side," she told Fatherly last October. "I can’t tell you that much. I’m really excited. I’m starting to train, to get muscles. If there can be all these female superheroes, the more of them they are, the better it is."
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to release on November 2, 2021.
