Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra 'Wanted A Baby For Some Time' Prior To Welcoming Their Daughter Via Surrogate: Source
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had been planning their family long before welcoming their daughter earlier this month.
The couple — who recently announced the January 15th birth of their first child via surrogate — apparently began laying the groundwork to begin settling into family life years ago and couldn't be happier with their newest addition.
"They both are truly eager to be parents," a source close to Jonas, 29, dished to People. "They are beyond excited."
"Nick and Priyanka have wanted a baby for some time," the insider revealed. "This is a happy time for all. Nick and Priyanka are definitely ready for this new challenge in their lives."
"It is something they have both wanted," the source explained of the married couple. "Now is their time, and they could not be more ready to raise a child."

Jonas and Chopra, 39, tied the knot in a romantic Hindu ceremony in December 2018, only a few months after starting up their relationship in May of 2018. The lovebirds were already thinking about growing their family in 2019 when they purchased their Encino, Calif., estate, as a real estate source reportedly revealed they spent months renovating the property to make it kid-friendly.
The couple's newborn baby has now joined a bevy of Jonas cousins, including Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas' daughters Alena Rose Jonas, 7, and Valentina Angelina Jonas, 5, as well as Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's daughter, Willa Jonas, 1.
"The brothers are overjoyed and have also been eager for Nick to become a father and add to their family," a music source told the outlet.
As OK! previously reported, the actress and the former Disney Channel star announced via their respective Instagrams on January 21 that they welcomed their daughter into the world. "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate," both Nick and Priyanka wrote in the posts. "We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."
