Ozzy Osbourne's funeral plans have yet to be revealed by his family after he passed away on Tuesday, July 22, but back in 2011, the rocker said he wanted his ceremony to be fun and upbeat instead of a "mope fest."
"It’s worth remembering that a lot of people see nothing but misery their whole lives," he shared in an interview. "So by any measure, most of us in this country — especially rockstars like me — are very lucky. That’s why I don’t want my funeral to be sad. I want it to be a time to say 'thanks.'"
Ozzy Osbourne's Funeral Wishes

Before Ozzy Osbourne died, he declared he wanted his funeral to be 'a celebration, not a mope-fest.'
Though the star is known for his metal tunes, he admitted "I honestly doesn't care" what type of music is played when people say their final goodbyes.
"They can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes ’em happy — but I do want to make sure it’s a celebration, not a mope fest," Osbourne insisted.
"I’d also like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of 'death.' There’ll be no harping on the bad times," the former reality star declared.
The Star Died at Age 76

The star said he didn't care what kind of music they played at his funeral.
As OK! reported, the Black Sabbath band member died at age 76 after a difficult battle with Parkinson's, which he was diagnosed with in 2019.
"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," his family confirmed in a statement. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."

Ozzy Osbourne's Final Performance
Though Parkinson's and spinal injuries prohibited him from performing as much as he would have liked, he was able to have one last concert on July 5.
The "Crazy Train" vocalist sang solo tunes and reunited with Black Sabbath for the Back to the Beginning benefit concert in England, which even before his death, was touted as Osbourne's final show.

The musician's loved ones had a ball at his last concert, where Sid Wilson proposed to Kelly Osbourne backstage.
"You’ve got no idea how I feel," he confessed onstage to the 45,000 people in the crowd. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
After the concert, which was live-streamed by over 5 million people, his loved ones raved over his performance.
"To say that yesterday was magic was an understatement! I can’t even write this without tears streaming down my face! Thank you to everyone who came to support my dad," daughter Kelly Osbourne gushed on Instagram alongside photos from the special day. "Thank you to the fans who without we are nothing! My dad got his moment in the sun! He was able to say thank you and good bye in the most beautiful way!"
