Prince Andrew Yanked From Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Celebration Following Shocking Sexual Assault Claims
Prince Andrew’s legal woes will not take center stage at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebration next year.
The Duke of York was slapped with a lawsuit earlier this year by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers, claiming he sexually abused her as a minor.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed a suit in Manhattan federal court on Monday, August 9. In court documents obtained by OK! she claims Andrew sexually abused her in New York City when she was a minor. She previously claimed that she was forced to have sex with the Queen’s son on three different occasions in London, New York and on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.
The 61-year-old, who formally stepped down from royal duties after the scandal made headlines, has denied the allegations, but that isn’t stopping the monarchy from shunning him during the Jubilee event.
A source spilled to The Sun, “The plan is for him [Andrew] to be invisible during celebrations” as to not draw attention away from the festivities.
