Prince Jackson Recalls Traumatic First Time He Watched 'Thriller' Video With Dad Michael Jackson
Remembering his pops!
Michael “Prince” Jackson is recalling the first time he watched his dad’s infamous “Thriller” video and how it disturbed him.
“That was a very traumatic moment for me,” the 24-year-old son of Michael Jackson and Debbie Row spilled on Fox Soul’s Gen Z chat fest The Mix. He explained he was young and watched it on a theater screen at “Neverland Ranch” with his famous dad.
It “Terrified me,” Prince continued, noting his dad went on to further scare them. “After we finished the music video, he said ‘you guys should be careful, you know you can’t be around me when the full moon comes up, because that’s real,” he added with a laugh.
Prince explained that whenever a full moon would occur Michael would joke for a second that he was turning into a zombie like in the “Thriller” video.

Michael, known as the King of Pop, tragically died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50. He also fathered two other children, Paris Jackson, 23, and Prince “Blanket” Jackson, 19.
Prince and Paris share a unique bond as the two have grown up without their father around. Last July, the model raved about her big brother during a rare interview on Good Morning America.
“He’s everything to me, you know?” she said. “I’ve always looked up to him and always wanted his approval and everything, and wanted to be more like him.”
The “Let Down” singer continued: “So to hear him approve, not just approve but enjoy what I do, it’s everything to me,” she added, promoting her and then-boyfriend Gabriel Glenn’s band The Soundflowers. The former flames called it quits in August 2020.
Prince served as EP on the music video for the song “Your Look (Glorious).” “It was awesome,” he added. “Cause when we were growing up, we would be talking as a family about working together in the future.”
