On The Mend: Prince Philip Spotted Leaving The Hospital After 28 Days
The Duke of Edinburgh has been released from the hospital after almost a month.
Prince Philip was spotted as he left a London hospital early on Tuesday, March 16, after a successful heart procedure.
The 99-year-old was first admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital on February 16 as "a precautionary measure," as he felt unwell and was then transferred to St. Bartholomew’s, where he had a "successful" heart operation for a pre-existing condition before he returned to King Edward VII’s.
"His Royal Highness will remain in hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days," Buckingham Palace announced earlier this month.

Before that, Prince Edward said that he had spoken to his father on the phone. "He's a lot better thank you very much indeed, and he's looking forward to getting out, which is the most positive thing," he said.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles was spotted paying a visit to his father last month.

Prince Philip is likely to return to Windsor Castle, which is where he and Queen Elizabeth II had been quarantining in what has been nicknamed the HMS Bubble. The infection he was treated for is not believed to be related to COVID-19, as both Philip and the Queen received their COVID-19 vaccines in January.
The 28-day hospital stay was the longest time the Duke has been hospitalized. In 2013, he remained in the hospital for 11 days following surgery on his abdomen and was reportedly rushed to the hospital two years earlier for a blocked coronary artery.
"It’s a lot to take on. But as usual, Elizabeth is handling the stress and sadness with great dignity," an insider said of the Queen’s turbulent month amid her husband’s hospitalization and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, as previously reported by OK!. "Prince William, Duchess Kate, Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles and Princess Beatrice are rallying around Elizabeth, even Princess Eugenie who has just given birth is checking in."
